The lovely town of Burford occupies a position on the meandering River Windrush. Burford is built on a fairly steep hill, and the view from the top of the hill looking down the High Street to the river is one of the classic panoramas of the Cotswolds. A lovely 4-arched medieval bridge, widened in the 18th century, crosses the Windrush, and though Burford itself does not occupy the northern bank, a walk across the bridge is rewarded by wonderful views across watermeadows to the spire of St. John the Baptist parish church.
152 The Hill has been completed renovated and now offers 5 individual holiday homes, The Hall is one of them, all five properties can be all be rented if you would like, family Christmas, special occasions, the whole property will sleep 23, but you will all have your individual space, Please see 8379754, 8379757, 8379752, 8379755, contact us for details.
The Hall is a three bedroom cottage, with two bathrooms and a sofa bed in the eaves of the old Medieval hall, the old ‘A’ frames are still visible. The Hall can sleep up to 9 people, all the bedrooms have there own style, the first bedroom has a king size bed and open up to the eaves, the next bedroom also has a king size bed, with a window looking out over Burford High Street and over the roofs to the church and the valley. The third bedroom has a triple bunk bed, with a double at the bottom and a single over, also enjoying the views over Burford. The bathrooms both have toilets, one with a large shower, the other with a bath/shower. The ground floor is open plan with kitchen dining room with log burner, leading onto a sitting room with TV and behind the stairs a snug/reading room with large fireplace and wood burning stove. There is also a cellar, which has been renovated as has the whole building, it still has the original worn steps leading down and the wooden steps where the beer barrels would have come down, you are more than welcome to use this area, but there is restricted headroom and the steps are not suitable for the unsteady.
A communal garden can be found at the back of the property, it is lawned and is available to all guests that are staying at 152 The Hill. When you step outside the property, you are metres away from a newsagent, a butcher, a deli, a chemist, restaurants, pubs, a little further down is the Co-op shop. It is a brilliant place to stay as a base to explore the Cotswolds, with many places to visit.

There’s no greater review than the fact that this is our fifth year staying at this property. Perfect for a group of friends. Plenty of space, two bathrooms, a kitchen that I doubt we’ll ever use
