The Dairy Cottage nestles in the tranquil eight acre grounds of Great Wells House set in the heart of the New Forest National Park in the prime village of Burley.
Formerly the Dairymans home when the estate was a working farm, now beautifully transformed into an idyllic holiday home.
The Dairy has two double bedrooms one has a 5' double bed with double vista and french windows onto garden and TV with radio and the other bedroom has 3’ twin beds ( can convert to a 6' double ) also with TV/radio. There is also a travel cot which can be accommodated in the main bedroom or the small hallway outside the bedroom. The comfortable sitting/dining room has a TV/radio, large corner sofa and french windows onto garden. Separate well equipped kitchen (sorry no dishwasher). Cloakroom with loo and basin. The family bathroom is large and has a loo, bidet, basin, walk in shower and corner bath.
The cream brick and slate roofed property has views over its own pretty gardens to the back and the courtyard with private parking for two cars to the front. There is a brick patio with barbeque, outdoor seating and loungers for the summer months and plenty of room for outdoor games in the mainly lawned garden. Please note the garden is not fully fenced but is well away from any roads. Approached from a quiet village lane over a cattlegrid and situated at the end of a long driveway. You can walk directly into the Forest and see the lovely New Forest ponies and local wildlife including deer, badgers, foxes, rabbits, buzzards and rare birds. There is a meandering brook just along the lane at Mill Lawn where the little ones can play poo sticks, catch minnows and go Kingfisher watching!
You may prefer a swim in the sea! The lovely Avon beach at Mudeford is only a 10 - 15 minute drive. You can catch the little ferry across to the sandbank and Hengistbury Head and walk in the beautiful nature reserve.
The Garden Cottage just across the lawn from the Dairy can be booked if you have additional guests that would like a bit of privacy, ideal for grandparents!

Prachtige plek met veel eigen buitenruimte, vriendelijke gastheer- en vrouw en ruim voorzien van dikke handdoeken, kussens, beddengoed. Geen vaatwasser maar dat was voor mij geen enkel probleem. Goed geoutilleerde keuken.
Heerlijk wandelen, dichtbij de kust .

What a find! A real home from home property, with everything you could wish for in a holiday let. Pictures on site are accurate, we asked for the twin beds to be fixed together to create a larger space, such luxury! Loved the feather duvet… The hosts were very welcoming and made suggestions for walk...
