Brockholme Barns offer a range of two converted barns sleeping from 10 to 12 guests with a holiday home for larger groups or families. Ideally situated in open farmland with grounds that overlook Hornsea Mere (the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire), the semi-detached barns, Barley Edge with an attached cottage, and The Granary form part of a shared gravelled courtyard, and make the perfect retreat for families.
The rural setting is an excellent base for exploring east Yorkshire’s magnificent coastline with its wealth of sandy beaches, RSPB bird reserves, and traditional seaside towns of Hornsea, Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough with activities for all ages. Within walking distance is Honeysuckle Farm, a great day out for children, offering delicious ice cream and cart rides. You can also visit Wassand Hall, a grand Regency house and walled garden (open on selected days), and Hornsea Mere which has over 250 species of birds, a café and opportunities for sailing, fishing or feeding the ducks and swans.
Hornsea, 1 mile, offers beaches, promenade, a leisure complex, golf course, museum, skate park, the retail outlet Hornsea Freeport, Bugtopia The Zoo, pubs and restaurants; it’s also the end/start point of the Trans-Pennine Trail, where guests can hire electric bikes at an exclusive discount. Other local attractions include water sport activities and clay pigeon shooting at Brandesburton, 4 miles, and the the medieval town of Beverley, 10 miles, which boasts an attractive blend of past and present with its 13th-century minster, boutiques, bistros, polo club and renowned racecourse. The harbour and spa entertainment centre in Bridlington is 14 miles away, while The Deep, a spectacular aquarium, maritime museum and marina, are all located in Hull, ‘City of Culture 2017’, 15 miles away. Also within easy reach is Bempton Cliffs RSPB Reserve with its spectacular colonies of sea birds and the many stately homes in the area at Burton Agnes, Burton Constable, Sledmere House and Sewerby Hall. This is an amazing place to stay, the placed is well equipped with everything you need and more, it feels so relaxing and to know that you are 5 mins away from a busy little town. 9 ladies couldn't find fault with cleanliness, amenities and space. Would we go back again, already looking

Amazing property for multiple adults. Good space and the hot tub was so refreshing and warm.
The check-in and out times on VRBO were different to agreed time from communication from property manager, but it made little difference for us.
Property manager was very friendly and we even got to see the local bird life at our door each morning!

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage. There was more than enough room and it had everything we required. The location is also beautiful. Would love to come back here again.
