Petts Cottage is a traditional two-up, two-down small terraced cottage, located just a minute's walk from the centre of Norfolk's loveliest village, Burnham Market. In easy reach of all the shops, pubs and restaurants that make this village so special, and you are well placed for exploring the local area.
This mid-terrace cottage with two bedrooms is a good base for a short break or longer stay. Owned by the same family for many years, it is traditionally furnished with local finds and is suitable for a couple or small family looking for a good location. Enjoy the cosy wood burning stove in the cooler months, or cook up a storm with local produce in the modern well-equipped kitchen. It's so easy to pop to the bakers' or one of the café's or deli to buy croissants and coffee for breakfast before enjoying at the cottage and planning your day. On lazy summer days you can enjoy the fully-enclosed courtyard garden, ideal for a spot of sunbathing or dining al fresco. There's a utility room in the outhouse, so beach wear, soggy dogs and the like can easily be dealt with before sinking into the comfy sofas to relax with a film or book.
On arrival, park up outside and if you fancy, explore the coast by bus, foot or cycle. Or enjoy all the walking and history on your doorstep. A walk to Burnham Thorpe, where Admiral Lord Nelson was born, is well worth doing - be sure to sneak in a local ale or lunch at the famous Lord Nelson pub in the village. Walk eastwards to Burnham Overy Staithe to discover the picturesque little harbour, where you can enjoy a spot of crabbing and walk out to a stunning and secluded beach. Catch the ferry in summer to the remote and beguiling Scolt Head Island.
Additional Information:
One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge).
There is no starter pack (tea, coffee, sugar and milk) or welcome hamper provided at this property.
High chair available on request.

The cottage is basic but very cosy and warm. The property would benefit from some new kitchen equipment and the tv could be larger. Parking was easier than expected and we could always park in the road.
The location is great and close to all the local amenities. Easy drive to the beach.
