The Cottage.......
Cosy two bedroom fisherman's cottage .Decorated to a high standard with many stylish design features providing a comfortable living experience.
Crab Cottage is perfectly located a few metres from the train station, a stone's throw to the High street and Quay and a short walk over the bridge to the Isle of Wight ferry terminal. Off street parking is usually available in Waterloo Road.
There are two cosy bedrooms with a choice of sleeping layout, a snug with adjacent dining room, a contemporary kitchen and lovely bathroom with rain shower.
To the rear of the property there is a sheltered area for that leisurely morning cup of coffee. Steps lead to a sunny raised dining terrace bordered with bamboo and ferns. A lockable shed is provided for the storage of your bicycles if required.
The snug boasts a large comfortable sofa, coffee table, mood lighting and TV with unlimited WiFi. The adjoining dining area features painted table with Orla Kiely dining chairs and additional seating.
The kitchen features a fridge / freezer, oven hob and extractor, dishwasher along with a comprehensive range of kitchenware. There is also a microwave and matching Smeg toaster and kettle.
The ground floor bathroom has a large walk in rain shower, traditional basin and WC, towel radiator, illuminated magnifying mirror and patterned floor tiles.
The master bedroom has a super-king 6 foot wide bed whilst the second bedroom has a two foot six trundle bed giving the option of either one or two single beds.
The stairs as in many Fisherman's Cottages are somewhat steep on descent so young children should be supervised.
We strongly recommend taking out holiday insurance to cover cancellation due to illness or adverse weather conditions etc.
Their is parking for a small car outside crab Cottage or off street parking along Waterloo Road.
The Area......
Lymington is a bustling market town on the edge of the beautiful New Forest and stunning coastline offering the perfect short break or longer.
The high street has many interesting shops, designer boutiques, a museum and an amazing Saturday market dating back to the thirteenth century. From the cobbled quayside there is the wonderful pastime of "crabbing" for young budding fishermen and many boat trips are available to explore the river and beyond. Kayaks are also available to hire. Further along the river are the Lymington open air sea water baths with an amazing inflatable course - it provides amazing fun for children and there is even a sand pit and paddling pool for toddlers.
Woodside Park with it's secret gardens is a perfect place for picnics, tennis and an outdoor gym are part of the amenities there. For golf lovers there is a full size eighteen hole course and also a new adventure golf site , a new concept in mini golf.
The beautiful New Forest Park with it's free roaming ponies and donkeys offers miles of unspoilt walking trails and delightful villages to explore. There are many new Forest activities, horse riding and a New Forest tour bus which runs daily in the summer months. Why not bring your bikes and cycle for miles along the coastal paths or through the ancient woodlands. Bikes are readily available to hire if you do not have your own.
We are also close to the wonderful Pig Hotel at Brockenhurst for that special lunch or dinner treat well worth a visit. Special spa days are available at the Chewton Glen or Carey's Manor hotels both close by.
Lymington has so much to offer - come and see for yourselves!

We enjoyed a lovely short stay in Crab Cottage, it was in a great location, a couple of minutes from the shops, restaurants and the quay and for a bit further afield for exploring the New Forest. The cottage was well equipped with everything you would need, we loved the décor and the little crab details!Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Crab cottage was lovely. A great location, we were able to walk to lots of restaurants, shops and pubs. Being close to the train station was an added bonus. Wendy was responsive if I had a query. It had everything that we needed. A pleasure to stay there.
