Surrounded by a large mature garden with an enormous heated pool, panoramic views of Funchal town and cruise harbour to the east and of the sea and the cliffs of Cabo Girão to the west, the 4-bedroom air-conditioned BelAir is a truly luxury villa in Madeira.
Laid out in a split-level fashion over four floors, the open plan lounge and dining room is on the lower level and opens to the front terrace and garden.
To one side is the large fully equipped kitchen and breakfast room, which also leads to the garden and swimming pool; to the other is the ground floor bedroom and adjoining shower room. The Master Bedroom with dressing area and en-suite shower room is on the first floor, alongside a second open-plan sitting/leisure area with PlayStation 4 which leads to the very large front and side terrace where you can either laze on a sunbed or contemplate the wonderful views to Funchal and the sea. Half a floor above are the last two bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds) which share a Jack and Jill bathroom and have private balconies. With 230º views over the bay and town of Funchal and the ocean, which makes it perfect spot to watch the New Year’s Eve Fireworks. The large mature garden is a wonderful place to be perfect for a quiet read or simply to contemplate the wonderful views.
The whole west garden is given over to the enormous pool (optionally heated) and accompanying solarium with sun loungers.
Here is also the large built-in barbecue and outdoor dining facilities.
There will be few villas in Madeira that can match everything BelAir Villa has to offer. This villa in Funchal is only 600 metres from the nearest supermarket, and one kilometre from both the largest shopping mall and largest hypermarket on the island.
Funchal town centre is only 4 Km away, and easily reached by public transport or a reasonably priced taxi.
The added bonus is that the access to the motorway is less than a kilometre away, allowing an easy access to explore the island or for levada walking in Madeira. Amazing sized villa which was immaculately clean. Great space for 3 couples to share.
The pool was fabulous, large and fun to use.
It was great there was shower gel left in the bathrooms and sufficient dishwasher and laundry tabs to last the week.
Hot tub was not working which was a shame. The bank...
Madeiran people are lovely, helpful, courteous. Funchal and Madeira were interesting for adults - not much for children

Wij verbleven met 6 volwassenen en dat is heel goed te doen. We hadden allemaal onze eigen verdieping. Heerlijke tuin met heel groot zwembad. Huis ligt in een rustige buurt aan het eind van de weg.
