Nestled in the Wicklow Mountains, this spacious cottage is situated in a quiet and peaceful location, just a few minutes drive from the picturesque village of Aughrim.
Originally the local grocery store it has been converted into a bright and spacious cottage.
Free unlimited Wi-Fi is available, also a Smart TV with Netflix and You Tube.
The home is fully-equipped and tastefully decorated.
It is wheelchair friendly and has a level entry shower, shower chair and a portable disabled toilet seat to cater for the needs of guests with restricted mobility (Cottage is not officially approved as wheelchair accessible) Accommodation Details GF: lounge, kitchen/diner, three bedrooms each with double bed, main bedroom en suite and bedroom 2 has an additional single bed Extra Details Electricity included , oil by meter read, open fire with starter pack, linen and towels included, cot, high chair, TV, radio, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, w/machine, dryer, ipod docking station, internet access, hairdryer, UK TV channels, welcome pack, fully enclosed garden, patio area, garden furniture, private off road parking.

The addition of a children's activity centre in the garden ensures all of the family are catered for.
There are lovely seating areas outdoors whilst a real log fire makes for a cosy night in.
The surrounding countryside allows guests to enjoy the peace and quiet of country life, while all the amenities required are available within easy reach in the nearby towns and villages. The local villages of Aughrim (a previous National winner of theTidy Town's competition) and Tinahely have a choice of shops, pubs and coffee shops.
Tinahely's Courthouse Arts Centre is the venue for many exhibitions, musical and drama performances. Located midway between Dublin and Rosslare, Askanagap is central to a wide range of family activities making it the ideal base for exploring Ireland's Ancient East. Wicklow, known as 'The Garden County' has an abundance of interesting things to do and places to visit while Dublin is just over an hour away by car or train from Arklow.

We enjoyed visiting Aughrim, Avoca and Wicklow Town whilst also spending a day in Bray (the kids loved it) and a trip to Kia Ora mini farm.
The views from your cottage are amazing and Chris and Cara were made very welcome when they went to watch a football blitz on the GAA pitch.

We fully enjoyed our stay. The home is very clean and comfortable and located in a very small peaceful community. John and Julie are wonderful hosts who are attentive but did not intrude on our space. We were reluctant to leave as we were enjoying the serenity. There are many small communities in the area to explore as well.
