Salomone 8 is a flat on the second floor consisting of an entrance hall, bathroom with shower, kitchen/living room with 2 single sofa beds and a loft with a bedroom furnished with a double bed. The kitchen also has a small balcony with 2 comfortable chairs and a small table, with a side sea view.


The location is undoubtedly evocative: a historic building (18th century) located in the heart of Ortigia, a few metres from the Duomo, the Arethusa Fountain and numerous architectural masterpieces spanning different styles and eras.


Furnished with taste and attention to detail (from the elegant wooden ceilings to the refined terracotta tiled floor), the flat has a lift, satellite TV, free wifi connection, air conditioning/heat pump, hairdryer, microwave oven and, in addition, a convenient communal laundry room.


The flat has been completely renovated both internally and externally.

The location is very central: a few steps from the Arethusa Fountain and from Piazza Duomo and surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafes, pizzerias. About 50m away is the small beach of Cala Rossa as well as the bus stop. Small food shops and other services are available nearby.

About 800m from the flat is the Talete car park with excellent rates for long stays.

For lovers of relaxation and the sea, eastern Sicily and the surrounding area of Syracuse offer everything one could wish for. Starting from the ancient Greek city and going southwards, the best equipped and most beautiful beaches to explore are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella and Fontane Bianche, whose name derives from the natural freshwater springs and the particular white colour of the sand. On the island of Ortigia, you will also find equipped solariums (Zefiro and Nettuno) and a small free beach called Cala Rossa. Further south, some 30 km away, we find beautiful unspoilt and inaccessible beaches, including Calamosche, Vendicari with its Natural Fauna Oasis and the beautiful San Lorenzo. For culture enthusiasts, the Greek theatre of Syracuse and the entire archaeological park with the Ear of Dionysius, a cave carved into the limestone in the shape of a human ear, the Paolo Orsi museum, and the Latomie dei Cappuccini, as well as Ortigia itself with its historical and cultural beauty as well as its landscape, are definitely worth a visit. Not to be overlooked are Noto, the seafront with the tuna fishery of Avola, and finally the seaside village of Marzamemi.
