One Tennyson, is a modern decorated well equipped 4 bedroom 4 bathroom holiday home is situated in the village of Carisbrooke on the south western outskirts of Newport. Above the house is a 3 bedroom penthouse apartment that can be rented separately. The house has been decorated to a high standard and had an open plan living area with a second living room off the kitchen. Please note: This house operates a sustainable heat recovery system [RC Fans and coolers installed as an extra measure] - the 1st floor windows do not open.
Just a few minutes stroll from the property you’ll find two local pubs, the Waverley and the Eight Bells, an Italian restaurant called Valentino's, Mediterranean Cuisine restaurant and a small convenience store with post office.
A short walk to Newport town, which is located in the centre of the Island has a variety of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. You will also find a large multi-screen Cineworld cinema complex just outside the town centre along with Medina and Apollo Theatres both offering a range of shows at various times of the year.
The Isle of Wight Festival takes place every June at Seaclose Park in Newport, which runs adjacent to the River Medina.
Carisbrooke Castle is within walking distance from the property which is the 12th century fort most famous for imprisoning Charles I after his defeat in the English Civil War. A short drive or bus ride away there is a family animal attraction called the Owl and Monkey Haven & Robin Hill Adventure Park which are both great for families. There is also a variety of footpaths for lovely countryside walks and the Tennyson Trail is also nearby.
This is the perfect location for a quiet relaxing holiday or for exploring all the Isle of Wight has to offer.
For larger families or parties you can book One Tennyson, One Tennyson Apartment (the penthouse apartment ABOVE ONE TENNYSON MAIN HOUSE) & One Tennyson Bungalow the combined 3 properties can sleep up to 20 guests including use of sofa bed in Bungalow.

This house is spacious and in a great location. It’s comfortable downstairs but way too warm upstairs. No ventilation upstairs as windows don’t open and there are no windows at the back of the house. There are floor standing fans in the bedrooms but thery are very noisy!
It’s a shame, as we would have considered staying there again, but it’s just not good for sleeping at night.

Nice accommodation. Very comfortable and spacious. Car park was small and tight as sharing with adjacent property. Amenities were not close by foot and house not located close to centre if you dont mind walking.
