One Tennyson Apartment, is a modern decorated well equipped 3 bedroom 1 bathroom penthouse apartment situated in the village of Carisbrooke on the south western outskirts of Newport. The apartment has been decorated to a high standard and has an open plan living area with views across to Carisbrooke Castle.
Just a few minutes stroll from the property you’ll find two local pubs, the Waverley and the Eight Bells, an Italian restaurant called Valentino's, Mediterranean Cuisine restaurant called Ada Meze Kitchen and a small convenience store with post office.
A short walk to Newport town, which is located in the centre of the Island has a variety of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. You will also find a large multi-screen Cineworld cinema just outside the town centre along with Medina and Apollo Theatres both offering a range of shows at various times of the year.
The Isle of Wight Festival takes place every June at Seaclose Park in Newport, which runs adjacent to the River Medina.
Carisbrooke Castle is within walking distance from the property which is the 12th century fort most famous for imprisoning Charles I after his defeat in the English Civil War. A short drive or bus ride away there is a family animal attraction called the Owl & Monkey Haven & Robin Hill Adventure Park which are both great for families. There is also a variety of footpaths for lovely countryside walks and the Tennyson Trail is also nearby.
Please be advised this property is accessed via a sloping uneven unmade public footpath that is a rugged pathway to the downs. We recommend a check-in during daylight hours for safety reasons

This apartment is nicely situated in Carisbrooke on the top of a hill with lovely views. It's very well decorated and well equipped, but the need better finish, from loose taps to uncomfortable beds. It just needs better quality furnishings and this let's down what is an amazing accommodation.

All the comments on the previous reviews apply. This property needs some serious attention. Loose taps, bathroom door that can lock you in. Toaster that trips the electrics, uncomfortable beds. The property is on the market therefore the owner is not interested in doing any repairs.

Lovely apartment with great views across to Carisbrook castle.
Access from parking area is via a steep unmade path which may cause access issues for some.
