Jan Dee Cottage has been beautifully refurbished to create a welcoming and comfortable coastal retreat.
Sleeping up to six guests, the cottage enjoys spectacular sea views across the English Channel, which can be admired from most rooms.
Inside, you’ll find a bright and spacious open-plan living area, including a lounge, dining space, and a contemporary, fully equipped kitchen.
The property offers a family bathroom, a double bedroom with en-suite shower, a bunk bedroom, and a twin room with French doors opening onto a balcony.
Bi-fold doors from the kitchen lead out to a patio and garden area with seating—perfect for relaxing or dining outdoors. Located in a peaceful spot in Ventnor, the cottage is just a five-minute walk from the town centre and Wheelers Bay seafront.
Parking is available on-road, with an additional free public car park nearby at Wheelers Bay (subject to availability and conditions). Ventnor, a charming Victorian seaside town, is known for its characterful architecture and sunny microclimate.
Within easy reach, you’ll find a lovely beach, esplanade, independent shops, small supermarkets including Co-op and Tesco Express, as well as parks, gardens, and museums.
The Winter Gardens offers a growing programme of theatre, music, comedy, and dance. The popular Ventnor Haven Fishery at the marina is perfect for fresh, locally caught seafood, and also offers takeaway fish and chips to enjoy by the sea. Boat trips are available here too. Nearby, Ventnor Botanic Garden thrives in the unique “Undercliff” microclimate, sheltered by the chalk downs.
It’s a wonderful place to explore, with regular events, exhibitions, and an on-site café and restaurant. From Wheelers Bay, enjoy scenic coastal walks along the sea wall to Bonchurch, or follow the cliff path to the picturesque Steephill Cove—a hidden gem only accessible on foot. Clean, comfortable & spacious with everything you might need, Jan Dee is the perfect location for a holiday break. The cottage boasts great sea views & is well located for walking into Ventnor. Our host left a welcome pack which was much appreciated.Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
