Cabin is 800 sq/ft, one bedroom with full size bed, (bed has a foot board which may be an issue for taller individuals!) vaulted ceiling great room with one full size futon and one pull out sofa sleeper. One magnificent full bathroom with antique claw-foot bathtub. Tub has a shower wand, but no stand-up shower equipment. Full kitchen, two fireplaces and screened in back porch round out the living spaces. Cabin is completely off-grid with fully functioning solar system which works rain or shine ( thanks to super large battery capacity) 6 guests Max. Individual and isolated camping sites available for small Rv's, Pop-up's, or tents. No site is in view of another. Seclusive and private, a perfect Get A Way !! Do not worry about becoming acclimated to the cabin and how it works, a complete and easy to follow guide book will be forwarded upon booking giving details regarding heating systems, functioning fireplaces (firewood included in rental price ) solar capabilities, bath and kitchen functionality ( both function as you'd expect a normal house with minor modifications). Most guests have a long list of activities - hiking, and lake access are really close - but tend to while-away their stay relaxing in the cabin and taking walks on my 11 acres.0

The property is accessible via paved county road, and then long mountain driveway/private road. Awd / 4 wheel drive or hearty front wheel drive vehicle is recommended to access in wet weather. Recent work on mountain driveway/private road has greatly reduced the evidence of wear and tear , including the addition of drainage ditches and tones and tones of gravel !!

There are no visible neighbors, occasionally you can hear a car but it's rare.

The remoteness is the beauty of this property with easy access to South Holston Lake, the Appalachian Trail, Virginia hiking trails, the city of Bristol, and Bms. Motorcyclists will love running "the Snake" - (property is located just off Hwy 421 between Bristol and Shady Valley). Too much to explore within a short drive to list !! Bristol offers free Summer Music concerts !!

I've owned this property for over 20 years and am still amazed with the views and feel of the mountains. I had the cabin built 6 years ago and hope you appreciate it as much as I do. Pets are welcome, my dog runs the mountain and the abutting national forest to his heart's content!! Camping sites also available, one with running water suitable for small Rv or pop-up camper.
