Situated just 150m from Port Eynon’s Blue Flag beach, 4* rated (Visit Wales) Port Eynon Cottage is perfect for a beach holiday or as a base to explore everything the Gower Peninsula has to offer.
The cottage can accommodate 6 adults and 2 children.
The first floor can accommodate 6 based on one master bedroom with king-sized bed and ensuite, a double room and one twin room (2’6” wide beds, adults also welcome!) that share a family bathroom. A further double bedroom with ensuite is conveniently located on the ground floor.
Private parking is available for 2 vehicles.
The entrance (with access to a downstairs WC) leads into the dining room with a large table - perfect for dining and board games - leading into a fully equipped kitchen that includes an induction hob, microwave, full-sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, washer dryer and additional dining table and chairs.
The lounge is a well-proportioned space and benefits from a smart TV, relaxing sofa’s, a log burner, and the cottage’s original front door which provides access to a small outdoor seating area and a gate which makes the walk to the beach even shorter!
Accessed from the driveway, the main garden is grassed with a paved seating area and is fully enclosed for those who don’t leave home without the dog (subject to prior arrangement when booking and a small surcharge, pets are welcome provided they stay downstairs and off all furniture)!
Port Eynon’s village amenities are within 100 meters of the cottage and include The Ship Inn and Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen which open all year round, whilst The Beach House Surf & Coffee Shop, two fish and chip shops and a gift shop open seasonally.
Port Eynon and Horton beaches are flanked by undulating sand dunes. To the west is the popular walk to the Salt House ruins and over the cliff from there – for the more adventurous – is Culver Hole, a 13th century Dovecote and Smugglers’ Cave. The beaches can also be your gateway to the Gower and Wales Coastal path which can take you to Oxwich if you head east and Rhossili if you head west.
For those wishing to explore all the Gower Peninsulaa has to offer there are castles, golf courses, nature reserves, outdoor pursuits, and a wide choice of food destinations with The Mumbles and its gift shops, seafront promenade, Ferris Wheel (seasonal) and eateries offering something for everyone all year round.
The cottage is let on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis during school holidays, whilst stays of a shorter duration are welcomed outside these dates.

Loved the location and we had the whole house. Plenty to do and nice little touches included the welcome pack. We did a murder mystery while away and a photo in our costumes

12 stayed at the cottages, aged 16 to 81 plus 1 dog. The cottages were ideal, very accomodating, spotless and lacked nothing. Endless hot water, even with 12 showering at the same time. The downstairs bedroom with ensuite was ideal for the 80 plus, and the second cottage lounge was ideal for the16 a...

The cottage was above expectation - very clean and tidy, fully equipped with all we needed for 10 of us to stay for the week. We had a grocery delivery the evening we arrived. Great beech to walk the dogs close by. Ship Inn opposite served great food. Plenty of beaches nearby to explore. Gower Heritage Centre on main route anywhere had 120kw chargers - very handy. Excellent week.
