The property is adjacent to the canal.. This 1840s cottage, adjoining the owners property, overlooks the towpath of the Peak Forest canal, close to the marina, and with an outlook to the High Peak Moors.
There’s a patio and lawn, and the first floor kitchen door opens to a small terrace overlooking the water.
A good value holiday base for the Peak Park, with Buxton and Castleton an easy drive, and for the museums, galleries, theatres and shops of Manchester.
There is a supermarket, 1 mile away, which can be reached by a walk along the canal towpath, or 5 minutes by car. Golf can be found nearby at New Mills, and Chapel-en-le-Frith, and Horse Riding at Offerton (7 miles - booking advised). There is a fish and chip takeaway, 300 yards away.
Supermarket 1 mile, pub 400 yards and pub serving food 2 miles. Free WiFi There are low banisters at the property. Families or couples only. No children under 6 years old. Small dog/s only allowed. Electric vehicle charging is not permitted at the property. No stag, hen or other party bookings allowed. Camper vans are not permitted at this property. Lovely cosy and clean cottage with a great view of the canal. Lots if fabulous places nearby to visit with amazing views. Chis the owner went above and beyond to post off some things that we left behind and gave us lots of information on the surrounding areas to visit. Had a fab time
