Wherever you are, sitting by the fire, enjoying dinner at the farmhouse table or better still, outside in the private hot tub, the views are amazing overlooking open farmland and the Galloway Hills in the distance.

Why not enjoy a family get together as Heron View can be booked along with Robin’s Nest and The Byre for that lovely family break, yet you can still enjoy a bit of peace over breakfast in the morning.

The popular programme of summer festivities culminates with the spectacular Tattoo, an event not to be missed.

Heron View was absolutely perfect. Close enough to Kirkcudbright to be able to walk, but far enough away to feel remote. The peace and quiet was very welcome, resulting in fantastic relaxation. Fantastic host. Would definitely return.

A lovely clean and comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location but only a mile from small local shops and supermarkets. Lots to do in the area and plenty of great dog walks. The hot tub was an additional bonus, lovely to sit in and look at the stars!
