Named after a 12th century Lord, Heacham is situated on a coastal area known as The Wash and is in the heart of lots of beautiful beaches and tourist attractions.
For all the fun of the fair, you can head to Hunstanton where the beach seems to literally go on for miles, and you will find a small fairground, traditional seaside amusements and a Sea Life Centre.
Norfolk Lavender, Caithness Crystal and Langham Glass are all close by and also within easy reach lies the city of King’s Lynn with its historical old quarter and guided walks.
For a traditional seaside resort, you should head to Wells-next-the-Sea, with its narrow gauge railway and picturesque quay.
In fact, it’s a great place for pottering, enjoying the mix of traditional and artisan shops and numerous places to eat. Add in National Trust properties and stately homes such as Holkham Hall, great walks and cycle routes, golf courses, bird watching and wildlife viewing opportunities, you will quickly see why this part of the Norfolk coast is so very popular.

Excellent location for exploring Norfolk coast wildlife centres.
A pub and two supermarkets nearby. Parking on site. Great to be able to eat out in the back garden.
Two important things to note - don’t forget to bring your own towels, and if you’re over 6 feet tall, don’t forget to duck through the doors!

Despite awful weather, we had a lovely holiday with two grandchildren and our dog. The cottage was warm, comfortable and in a good location to visit other places. Quiet, well appointed and easy to manage. Would recommend.

A comfortable cottage in a very convenient location for all amenities. Fish and chip shop and Indian restaurant close by, both very good. Fox and Hounds, a short walk away brews it's own beer and made us both very welcome. Bus stops and shops also close. The only reason I didn't give this cottage 5 ...
