Overlooking the large village green at Elsdon this unique cottage enjoys a rural position with plenty of walks in the immediate area.. Ground Floor:

Set in the heart of the historic village of Elsdon, within the Northumberland National Park, this unique and beautifully presented cottage with a spacious beamed living room and charming beamed dining room, there are two bedrooms each with ornamental fireplace and rugs on the pine floors, it adjoins a public house and overlooks the village green: rumoured to be one of the largest in England, with its 13th-century church and 15th-century pele tower, as well as a Norman motte and bailey fortification.
This is a wonderful touring area with the Borders, Northumberland coast, Kielder Water and Hadrian’s Wall all within easy reach, as well as Alnwick gardens and several other National Trust properties.
Shops 4 miles. Free WiFi The first basket of fuel for the woodburning stove is included, the remainder is available locally. There are steps within the property. Blue House Cottage is a comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage in the pretty village of Elsdon. There are no shops in Elsdon but there is a village pub which is adjoining Blue House Cottage. We enjoyed our holiday there and would return.

Great location for Northumberland touring. Cottage comfy and roomy, loved the traditional fireplaces and timbers. Very friendly area and doggy welcoming. Stocked with extras such as DVDs, toiletries, teabags and some extra food items. Food served at Bird & Bush Thurs-Sunday evenings, good beer and large portions. (Be aware petrol stations 10+ miles away.)

Lovely house and place to stay. House well stocked for cooking and entertainment for rainy days. Beds comfortable and house warm. Would definitely recommend this wonderful cottage and village to stay in, only thing is no shop handy so bring essentials with you.
