Only a hop, skip and a jump to the centre of Amble, the popular town has a great community spirit, and has been dubbed the ‘friendliest port’. There’s a working harbour, a pretty marina and a sandy beach to enjoy, just a short walk from this end terraced property. A popular Sunday market on the harbour provides a great morning out. You’ll find a super little fish restaurant hidden behind the lifeboat house, and an award-winning ice cream parlour.
Coquet Island is a designated RSPB protected bird sanctuary home to some 30,000 puffins, which can be seen on the puffin cruises that depart from Amble.
Just two miles away is the picture-perfect village of Warkworth with its hillside castle, pubs, shops and scenic walks along the banks of the river.
Young witches and wizards are drawn to Alnwick Castle, which featured in the Harry Potter films.
You can also visit the impressive water gardens and the world’s largest treehouse-turned restaurant whilst you’re there. Characterised by vast golden stretches, pristine bays and rolling sand dunes, it’s little wonder why the coastline north of Amble was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Great property, spacious, clean, comfortable. No dvds found. Main issue was the loud voices next door through the living room wall. Next was the numerous potholes leading to front of house parking. Both not under the owner's control but nonetheless not conducive to a relaxing stay. Families may like the property better.

Great find in Amble: great location with grassy area out front for the dogs. A clean, warm and very comfortable cottage, with everything we needed for our stay.The downstairs bathroom was a bonus.Would not hesitate to book again.

been before and all what you need is there, excellent large fridge. Comfortable beds. Some parts around the house are looking a little tired now and could do with an overall to bring back to full tip top condition
