The location is convenient on several other fronts, the local café is across the road, its situated only 200 yards from the A66 for easy access, 400 yards from the start of the Latrigg/Skiddaw walk and a 10 minutes stroll through the park to Keswick town centre.

A very refreshing and pleasing time. Although the weather was rather wet we managed to get walking most days. We are familiar with the area and always look forward to holidaying in the Lake District rain or shine

Good location just a short walk from the town centre. Off road parking was easy to access. Warmed up nicely during the cold evenings. Rooms were all a good size to accommodate 4 of us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Poachers cottage, it is ideally situated for walks in the hills and access to Keswick.Some of decor is a little dated but it was nice and clean and there was everything we needed for our stay. It was great value for money and I would recommend to others.
