Hayrake is in an ideal location, on the fringes of Ambleside.. Ground Floor: Living room: TV, Open Fire Dining room: Books, Games Kitchen: Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Washer Dryer First Floor: Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bedroom 2: Single (3ft) Bed Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet Second Floor: Bedroom 3: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bedroom 4: Single (3ft) Bed Separate Toilet.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included.
Fuel for open fire available locally.. Patio garden with garden furniture.

Built of Lakeland stone, the cottage is very characterful, with cosy rooms, exposed beams and that all important open fire, Hayrake is also home to other features that you’d expect from such an old property, including the odd squeaky floorboard and uneven floor! Emphasis is more on creating a homely atmosphere than frills and fanciness, however Hayrake is very comfortable and offers everything for the holidaymaker.
On three floors, the views get better the higher you go so you may have to toss a coin to decide who will have the top room.
Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.

Cottage in good location, easy walk to town centre and the lake. Good restaurants in Ambleside and nice walks.
Cottage could do with a makeover, cleaning needs looking at plenty of cobwebs, dirty plates in cupboard and oven not cleaned for a long time. Outside furniture dirty.

Lovely cottage on the hill, perfect base for walking, and close to all amenities, would be nice to have a welcome pack ie tea coffee milk and also washing up cloths, however thats just nice to haves overall great space

Had a great stay in this lovely cottage, decor and furnishings all a bit dated, but that is the only adverse comment, everything else was great 😊
