A nice, small cottage attached to a working farm. Dog friendly with an enclosed area in front that a small dog would not get out of (low wall that a larger dog may be able to jump over). Well equipped. Good communication with owners. Location is perfect for North York Moors, Helmsley, Pickering and 40 minutes from Whitby over the moors. Very quiet location.

On arrival at Pear tree cottage and reading the guest information we felt that the property was not at all dog friendly as stated...the owners obviously don't want dogs in the property. The enclosed garden was only enclosed for medium/large dogs so my poor dog spent the week on her lead ..not what was expected but she could get uner and around the gate
Very good

Superb for local walks and visits to notable places. Can be cold in windy conditions. Mandy is very helpful and kind. Views from the door are great.
