Farview Cottage is a characterful, 300-year-old, end-terrace holiday cottage, nestled within the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside and with far reaching views across the Stroud valleys. Two of the most outstanding features about this comfortable cottage relate to its position, just a 20 yard walk from the Cotswold Way path and about an 110 yard walk along Bell Lane to to Selsley’s renowned friendly gastropub.
Further great walks locally abound - maybe just around the pretty village of Selsley surrounding the cottage, expand your lungs on the hilltop Selsley Common with views of the Severn Vale or across the nearby National Trust Rodborough and Minchinhampton Commons, where there are wonderful views of the Stroud and the beautiful Cotswold hills.
Close by is the bohemian town of Stroud, with its award-winning farmer’s market selling a great variety of local produce. The closest supermarket is just ¼ mile away.
Many towns and villages are within a 25-mile radius, including the Roman town of Cirencester, historic Bath and royal Tetbury. Famous for horse racing and festivals, Cheltenham and Gloucester, with its magnificent cathedral, are also worth a visit. The area is abundant with National Trust properties and other attractions, such as Berkeley Castle and Slimbridge Wetland Centre. The stunning, honey-coloured north Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden are just an hour’s drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
