Two miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands – famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony – depart regularly from its harbour.
Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops with horse-riding, fishing and golf on the links close by, this being only a sample of the many amenities available in this popular location.
A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic fortress and commands the power and presence of the seasoned television set it regularly becomes.
Holy Island – known as the birthplace of Christianity, and is the site of Lindisfarne Castle, can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach.
Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy). Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden – a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Gullsway is an excellent choice for those seeking very smart coastal accommodation, conveniently situated within easy walking distance to a beautiful expanse of golden sands, making this a superb selection for a traditional seaside holiday set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Lovely house to stay with spectacular outlook.
Everything you need in the house for a week away.
Couple of observations, need to sort the fire out and the draw from the chimney.
Few light bulbs here and there need replacing, little things like this shows the TLC the house deserves.

Great location. Take your drinks across the quiet road, sit on a bench above the beach and relax as you enjoy the great view. Lots of good quality places to eat and a shop nearby, plus lovely beaches. There is a reasonable back garden with bbq chairs and table for six - not clear in site pics.

Loved our holiday in Gullsway, great location, near the beach, local shop, cafe and pub with beer garden.
The settees could do with re stuffing but nice bedrooms clean bedding and has a small private rear garden.
This is our second stay at Gullsway and we will be booking to stay again next year.
