Loch Leven has regular boat trips in the summer out to Loch Leven Castle, and the RSPB Vane Farm Nature Reserve is a great day out for families and nature lovers with nature trails and hides so you can watch the ospreys and other local wildlife. The county town of Kinross is a good place for you to pick up supplies and has a selection of supermarkets, local independent quality shops, cafés, delis, restaurants and local pubs, as well as a swimming pool.

For days at the seaside, the sandy beaches of the East Neuk of Fife are within a short drive and the Fife Coastal Path takes you to secluded coves, little fishing villages, and award-winning sandy beaches with plenty of places to visit and find refreshment.
