This 200-year-old period detached, Northumbrian farm worker’s cottage has undergone a complete renovation in 2020 whilst maintaining the original character and charm throughout.
The entrance porch with its karndean flooring leads to a feature oak staircase with traditional ledge and brace doors throughout.

The marshlands near the river are home to common newts and water voles which have been re-introduced to Kielder by a Forestry Commission project and are supported by residents.

Super cottage, fabulous location for Keilder which is the reason we chose it.
Road very fast but traffic not too bad, cottage not ideal for younger children.
Would benefit from comfy garden furniture to enjoy the superb views in comfort rather than picnic bench.
Very cheap and owners very helpful.

lovely cottage excellent area bit close to road but normally quiet so not intrusive evenings were unseasonable cold so a bit more fuel for woodburner would have been handy. overall we were very pleased and would definitely consider booking again
