Very nice 200 year old cottage but with high ceilings ! Rothbury is wonderful and it's a great location to explore Northumberland. Kitchen a bit lacking in Tea Towels etc and the Dish W.asher is way too small for a place sleeping six, but otherwise hard to fault.

Well Strand was a delightful place to stay and we had a wonderful time there. It was warm and clean and had everything we wanted. The one thing that was unequal to the rest of the excellent standard was the comfiness of the beds. I could feel every spring. I wish that they were as comfortable as the place itself and then it would have been the perfect , 5 star, all smiley faces place to stay.
