In the evening sit back and relax on the comfortable sofas around the crackling wood burner.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with twin beds, both with en-suite facilities, making this ideal for small families, friends or couples looking for a romantic break. Seaton Hall has a fascinating past, the hall was named after the de Seton dynasty who resided from 1130 to 1307, and whose family made allegiances with and marriages to the Scottish Royal Family.
Passed down through generations, before slipping into disrepair.
The present owner purchased the estate in 2002. He has employed a team of specialist masons and craftsmen and has been lovingly rebuilding and restoring this incredible place of local heritage. There is something to delight everyone in the area, with picturesque walking trails, including the Cleveland Way leading across the cliff tops.
Many pretty coastal villages such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and the historical seafaring town of Whitby will delight guests.

You can take a trip on the steam train across the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, taking in the views and visiting some beautiful villages along the way. For children you can ride the miniature train in Ruswarp before hiring a boat to row along the river.
Youngsters are sure to be delighted playing on the beach as well as visiting the arcades and miniature golf in Whitby, for an extra special treat you can even take them to Flamingo Land theme park and zoo. This area is a haven for dogs, with lots of walks to choose from as well as many dog friendly cafes and pubs.

Lovely cottage and handy location.
The bathroom extract fan was not working and some lightbulbs were out.
Overall really classy feel would stay again.
Sadly the great antiques barn next door only takes cash. That saved us some money we would have spent via card on cool antiques but we diverted the spend to the nearby Captain Cook Inn for some great food and local real ale!

We had an absolutely fantastic trip to the property. Somehow it’s bigger in real life than in the pictures, which made our Christmas holiday all the more comfortable. What was an excellent surprise was the space and views from the back of the cottage, a real treat and perfect for summer gatherings as well.
