The Snug is ideally situated in the centre of town within walking distance of all amenities.. 1 step to entrance.

No smoking.. The Snug has living/dining room with gas central heating and a wood burner for those cosy colder months; a comfy two-seater sofa; a small dining table and dining chairs, all next to the kitchen that is fully equipped including a toaster and microwave.
The bedroom has a king size bed with a comfortable Hypnos mattress, bedside tables and a fitted wardrobe with shelving.
Outside there is a small enclosed sitting out area adjacent to a courtyard with a table and two chairs where you can sit with a coffee and catch the sunshine on a fine day. Kirkby Lonsdale is ideally situated between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks and is located on a river terrace overlooking the river Lune.
It boasts the famous Ruskin’s view, and from there are steps leading down to a river walk to Devils Bridge - all just a few minutes’ walk away from the cottage. The Snug is a grade II listed cottage in the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale and in one of the oldest parts of the town.
It is a short stroll to all the pubs, shops and restaurants and also has a 13th century Market Charter with market day on Thursdays.
Kirkby Lonsdale is well served by a Booths supermarket, a chemist, banks, a post office and many interesting shops to browse around.
This charming cottage is a perfect hideaway for a couples’ retreat, providing an excellent and convenient base to explore the Lakes and Dales with an abundance of walking and sightseeing opportunities.
There are also opportunities for tennis, riding, fishing, golf and a selection of dining opportunities ranging from pub food to fine dining.
There is also a very popular fish and chip shop, a bakery/café where you can indulge in a hearty breakfast, and the Royal Barn where you can sample Kirkby’s own local beers, a place that put the ale into Kirkby Lonsdale. Nice place cute, clean and tidy. Perfect base for walkers or explorers to the beautiful area. We did however find downstairs area a bit cool /drafty to sit on an evening ( a good excuse to hit the pub😄), upstairs lovely, warm and cosy snug feel

A lovely cosy cottage that was well equipped. The wood burner was a welcome treat. The instructions for car parking were clear and accurate, we had no problems with parking. Kirkby Lonsdale is a gem of a place, very friendly, with great places to eat. Our only small disappointment was there was no tea or milk on arrival. We would definitely visit again.
