This quirky lodge is the perfect hideaway for two, with a wraparound terrace, cosy wood burner and views over the Tyne Valley.. Ground Floor:

If you plan to get away from it all, this cabin has everything you need for rest and relaxation. Tucked away in the far corner of Hadrian’s Garden, the cabin rests on a wraparound wooden terrace, with garden furniture and amazing views across the valley. Find a quiet spot to read a book, or set the table and enjoy an al fresco supper.
Inside, this property has an open plan layout with a cosy living area complete with comfy sofa to curl up on, a wonderful wood burner to keep you warm and a 40” TV to watch your favourite movies or stream your music. There is also a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. Sleeping two guests, there is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities - you really don’t have to go far for anything. Outside is where the fun begins.
Out and about, this area is a fabulous place to explore with so much to see and do. For the golf enthusiast, Close House Golf Course, host to the 2020 British Masters, is just a 25-minute drive away. For a day at the races, Hexham racecourse is just 20 minutes’ away. For those who enjoy walking, Henshaw is set on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England, the Scottish borderland and the Lake District National Park, which is just an hour away. In just a 20-minute walk you can discover the famous Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall.
The historic market town of Hexham is a must, which boasts a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, stop for a coffee or take a stroll along the river. Locally there is an abundance of eateries to choose from. A nearby inn serving good food and ales offers astronomers a stargazing experience and lies just a 20-minute walk away. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
