Appledore has a range of shops, eateries and a pretty quay.
For those who want a break from the stresses of daily life, it is easy to spend a week here enjoying the relaxed pace of village life.
Sample the local pubs and restaurants, or perhaps catch the ferry across the estuary to the neighbouring village of Instow with its beach and yacht club. For guests who would like to explore more of the area, there is plenty to see and do within just a few miles of the property, including RHS Rosemoor, the heritage village of Clovelly and the 2-mile wide stretch of beach at Westward Ho! This property offers wonderfully cosy accommodation for two, and as soon as guests enter, they will immediately feel just how homely and welcoming the cottage feels.
The open-plan living space occupies the whole ground floor of the property and offers comfortable sofa seating, a warming wood burner and a 32" Smart TV. Steep, wooden kite winder stairs lead to the first floor, where there is a double bedroom with exposed beams, a dressing table, wardrobe and its own TV. The well-appointed bathroom offers a relaxing roll-top bath, as well as a separate shower cubicle.
Outside, the property benefits from a small area which provides a perfect place for storing surfboards, bikes etc. Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property. Lovely little cottage, well equipped and very comfortable. Small welcome pack was very much appreciated. Local pubs, coffee shops and shops are all very friendly. Stairs are steep but manageable as clearly stated in the cottage write up. In all a very nice place to stay. Would use again if in the area without a doubt.

The cottage is beautiful and cosy.
The half spiral staircase could be difficult fir some people - very steep and steps shallow - but OK for us.
Was disappointed with lack of flexibility to change dates with booking agent ☹️

Fabulous cosy cottage in perfect location.Shower and bed were fantastic and the cottage came with everything we needed. Small outdoor space could be improved and cleaned but was perfect spot in Appledore
