We enjoyed a very comfortable stay. We found while based at Alan's cottage, everywhere we wished to visit, came within easy reach. The cottage is situated in a quiet area, but near to shops and supermarkets and the local people are friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage, in central but quiet position in Cockermouth. This was new territory for us but we will visit again. We were fortunate that the week was sunny and quite hot, and of course this made the holiday even better. We travelled round the area by the excellent bus service to enjoy the scenery...
