Situated alongside one of the village greens, next to the River Aire, which you can see from the living room, main bedroom and outside seating area.

Embsay Steam Railway is only a mile away from there and operates regularly towards picturesque Bolton Abbey.
The famous limestone cliffs of Malham Cove are just 7 miles from Gargrave and are well worth visiting.The Yorkshire Dales National Park, Harrogate, York and the Lake District are all within driving distance.

We had a lovely time in Duck Cottage despite the weather not being good. The location next to the river with lots of parking was great. There is a Co-op, 2 pubs and a tea shop. Gargrave has a station, buses and is great for travelling to Skipton and Settle.

A lovely cottage well appointed with open fire and comfy beds and bedding in a beautiful setting. Warm, cosy and wonderful views and walks. Amazing sweet shop/ cafe serving tasty food right on the door step. Shop, pharmacy and two pubs a great location and the hosts checked in with us to see all was well. We’d return.

Cosy and very comfortable cottage in a great location, central but well away from main road. Steep staircase was a concern at first but we soon got used to it. Gargrave has 2 great pubs as well as an Indian restaurant and fish and chips shop so hardly any need to cook if you want a lazy holiday. Hope to return and maybe get more sunshine!
