Steeped in history, Arran boasts its very own Stone Circles, and is home to two castles, the famous Brodick Castle and Lochranza Castle ruins. For the active, this beautiful island is a walkers’ and cyclists’ paradise. There are excellent beaches, horse riding, water sports, bird watching and six golf courses, including the world renowned Shiskine Golf Club just 20 minutes away. There is also a wide variety of world famous island made products ranging from chocolate and cheese to soaps and pottery, and of course Lochranza Whisky at the distillery. Beach 1 mile.
