This beautiful cottage is set amongst landscaped gardens in a pretty Scottish harbour town making it ideal for couples or small families.. Situated in mature landscaped gardens, this beautiful, detached cottage, adjacent to the owners’ home, is just a short walk into the pretty harbour town of Kirkcudbright.
Locally known as the artists town, Kirkcudbright offers many festivals throughout the year, including Scottish nights, classic car rallies, historic walks, a medieval fayre, a jazz festival and a spectacular Tattoo, as well as a good selection of pubs and restaurants.
With a large variety of outdoor pursuits on offer, including fishing, horse riding in the Galloway Forest Park, cycling, golf and watersports, there is fun for all the family.
Threave Garden and Estate, owned by the National Trust, proves to be a popular visitor attraction.
Dumfries is approximately 25 miles east and Castle Douglas is 9 miles away, making this a wonderful base to tour the south west of Scotland.
There is a river 275 yards away.

The cottage was by far the best we have stayed in and we have stayed in many, and a lot of those have been extremely nice. It was immaculately presented and it had far more in it that we could ever need.

Very comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean cottage, well equipped and spacious - and with a fabulous view from the terrace area. A pleasant walk along the River Dee takes you into Kirkcudbright, a friendly town with good amenities. Lots to see and do nearby with plenty of lovely local walks. Broughton House and Threave Garden and Nature Reserve are well worth a visit.

We had a lovely week at Hameish cottage. Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished a real home from Home. Beautiful garden, we didn’t get to sit in it as it was early in the year although the weather was very kind to us.Kirkudbright is an interesting little place especially if you like art it’s apparently buzzing in the summer. We would definitely recommend this cottage. You won’t be disappointed.
