It has a large lawned garden with sitting-out areas in which to enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility of the babbling brook.
There are fantastic walks, and wildlife is often seen within the grounds, including roe deer, badger, fox, squirrels, buzzards, ravens and regular nesting ducks.
The property has its own lake shore frontage just across the road, offering private fishing and the possibility of launching small craft such as a windsurfer, canoe or rubber dinghy.
Windsurfing, rowing and motorboat hire, sailing, golf, pony trekking and steamer cruises are available locally.
The main shopping areas are in Penrith, 7 miles, and Pooley Bridge is just 1½ miles away with shops, tea rooms and pubs, and there is a restaurant within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay in Bellegrove Cottage . The furnishings are a little dated but comfortable. Both hoovers did not work so we couldn’t use them also no dustpan and brush that we could find.
Difficult to find because of no sign on the roadside , we had to ask local farmer who said this was an ongoing problem.
But overall we had a wonderful holiday there and would definitely book again.

I been on holiday for 3 nights with my family it was very good but the house had very bad damp my son has asthma and his asthma getting worse. The house damp very annoying.
