Lovely forest walks start from the door and angling, cycling, canoeing, riding and climbing are available nearby, whilst the myriad attractions of the Forest range from a steam railway to a butterfly zoo. Forest Hills Golf Course, Coleford is only 8 minutes away.
The Wye Valley and historic Monmouth’s excellent range of leisure facilities are within a half hour’s drive as are Gloucester’s celebrated docks, outlet shopping and magnificent cathedral.

A really lovely cottage and beautiful location. Games room a very nice touch. Everything you would need is basically there for you. A big thank-you to the hosts, only gripe was the matress was a bit hard for our liking in the en suite bedroom but each to their own preference I guess, however sofas were very comfy.

Lovely cottage . Very well equipped. A real shame that the weather was bad at the start of the week but it didn't spoil our holiday. Could do with a bucket or some container to put the ash from the very welcome log burner. Overall a wonderful stay

Oak Tree Cottage is a surprising find. Situated in a hamlet off the beaten track, it is beautifully presented and has a very special large dog friendly garden. Good walks in woodland from the front door, a nearby beaver reserve complete with beaver dam and the River Wye nearby all make it a good start point for an active holiday.
