A 5-minute stroll leads to iconic Peveril Castle, the Peak Cavern and the five pubs, restaurants, cafes, ‘Blue John’ craft shops, galleries and village store in this very popular village.
The area is a walking wonderland with limestone dales and high moorland to explore.
Chatsworth House, Lyme Park (NT), Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath and many other attractions within a ½ hour drive.

It's quite expensive but nice place and view.
The wooden floor stairs are slippery. It would be better put the carpet on. We don't like to crack noise from the wooden floor when we walk on. It sounds weird.
Overall we had a lovely time and enjoy the walk and visited Lyme the National Trust property.

Lovely characterful cottage, very spacious and well equipped. Good to have 2 full bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable but the sofas in the living room are less comfy and a little tired. The platform at the top of the garden is lovely in the sunshine with great views. Excellent location for the village and walks from the door. We would definitely like to return to this cottage.

Great cottage in a fantastic location!Cottage is very spacious, and like being home from home.Only slight issue we had was the TV kept loosing the signal.Would highly recommend
