The lovely houses of Lyme Park, Little Moreton Hall (NT), Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Castleton Caverns and Matlock Bath are all within a half hour drive.
Golf is 7 miles and horse riding is 4 miles away.
There is also a swimming pool 6 miles away.

We had a lovely three night stay. Everything worked as described. Though the bathroom and kitchen are small, the cottage was perfect for our needs: quiet, out in the countryside, with an owl in the barn, hares on the front lawn and walks from the doorstep.
