Sedbergh itself is two and a half miles away, an enjoyable walk and has an excellent selection of cafes and book shops, the town being the first ’book’ town in the UK. Set on a very quiet working farm, Gateside Farmhouse has undergone a major renovation and now offers excellent, quality accommodation for up to 10. The rooms are light and spacious and, laid out on three floors, the property offers flexible living space for a large family gathering or a group of walkers or cyclists.
A small welcome pack is provided by the owners, so you can look forward to a decent cuppa after a long journey. The property is on a national cycle route. Just a couple of quotes from the visitor book "A beautiful cottage with all amenities.

Had a fantastic pre Xmas get together, which was enhanced by a lovely large house in fantastic location, had the best of the weather with the snow on Thursday would definitely return". "Hard frost, bright sun, have spent a wonderful few days in your beautiful house what a setting! Exceeded expectations, such a great break - cycling, walking, saw kingfisher’s and green woodpecker and salmon.

Amazing house in stunning location! Cannot recommend highly enough. Spacious, very comfortable and very well-equipped. Probably the best property we have stayed in -and those views, unbeatable! Hoping to revisit in future.
