Watching the birds outside while eating breakfast. It was so dark at night it was so different from where we live in the city. Loved the painting in the kitchen it was fascinating!
Just need to think ahead, and plan for no shops. Also small country roads some with no signposts (!) so tricky to find. However this is also a bonus.

Well presented cottage down very narrow lanes.
Some equipment needing replaced and some info on local amenities would be useful but generally satisfied. Village not within walking distance but good butcher worth a visit. Small general store for basics.

The Bothy has been made into a very attractive cottage. It was a pleasure to be there and Mr and Mrs Yeoman were most welcoming. The view from the Bothy across their land is delightful.
