The large garden is extremely private and lets in a lot of sun. The River Taw, which is home to the Tarka Trail, is an easy 10-minute walk from The Red Barn, or just 2 minutes’ by bicycle. Saunton Sands is just a short drive away where you will find a 4 mile stretch of golden sand.
For those looking to explore the local coastline, the South West Coast Path, rated by Lonely Planet as one of the top walks to be found anywhere in the world, is within easy reach.
Keen golfers are welcome to make use of facilities at the nearby Saunton golf club. For a spot of shopping or the chance to try the local cafés and restaurants, the characterful market town of Barnstaple is just 3 miles away. Another excellent stay at the Red Barn, our fifth time ! Always spotlessly clean, very comfortable and just a short drive from three fabulous beaches. Only a garden centre within walking distance but Barnstaple town is less than 3 miles away.

Lovely accommodation. Very comfortable with lots of open space in the lounge/kitchen/diner. Great shower pressure in the shower room.
Loved the log burner and the house was cosy.
