The islands of Skye, Rum, Muck, Eigg and Canna can be visited from nearby Mallaig and Arisaig, or from Lochaline, a short ferry crossing will allow you to explore Mull, Staffa and Iona.
For those who enjoy a day on the beach, the white sands of Morar are a short drive away, or Ardnamurchan Peninsula the most westerly point of mainland Britain is home to Sanna Bay. Take a trip on the famous Jacobite Stream Train (Hogwarts Express) from Fort William to Mallaig.
Experience historic Glencoe with its magnificent mountain ranges, or enjoy a visit to Oban known as the seafood capital of the UK. The area is great for outdoor pursuits and there are various forest trails for cycling and walking.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carinish. Alice was a great host, everything we needed was there, it was immaculate inside, we loved the location but you do need a car or bike to get around. The views are amazing, it was home from home and even better. There is nothing to fault about this place, we loved it
