No smoking.. Sinclair’s is a truly lovely terraced cottage in the heart of this charming little town.
Furnished beautifully and with comfort in mind, Sinclair’s offers the perfect place to relax with family and friends.
On the ground floor there are 2 lovely sitting rooms, one with a wood burner, perfect to curl up in front of on a chilly evening.
The kitchen/dining area overlooks the garden where you can throw open the doors on a fine day, perhaps the perfect start to your day enjoying breakfast! The quality at Sinclair’s continues upstairs with a sumptuous master bedroom with en-suite facilities, a family bathroom and two further bedrooms, one with bunk beds on the first floor and the second a twin room in the attic accessed by a steep, narrow staircase. Gatehouse of Fleet has a thriving little community and has several excellent places to eat as well as pubs and convenience stores.
There are also many attractions in and around the town including the Mill on the Fleet Visitor Centre, Cardoness Castle - the view from the top is quite spectacular, and of course delightful sandy beaches at Cardoness and Mossyard.
From the town you can enjoy many local walks from forest and woodland walks to scenic coastal walks.
With sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports close by, there is something for everyone. The area is warmed by the Gulf Stream and many beautiful gardens flourish here, including Threave Gardens (National Trust). Close to the Galloway Forest Park, the first Dark Sky Park in Europe, and being central to five of the 7Stanes, at Kirroughtree and Dalbeattie, it is a popular location for cyclists and mountain bikers.
Kirroughtree has some of the best technical single track mountain bike trails in Scotland. Only a short drive away is Kirkcudbright, known as ‘the artists’ town’, which attracts visitors throughout the year who are drawn by the harbour, the historic high street and the diverse range of annual events and visitor attractions.
The popular programme of summer festivities culminates with a spectacular tattoo - an event not to be missed! There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property. A charming and beautifully furnished terraced cottage with a delightful garden to the rear.

We had a brilliant stay in this cottage. A lovely part of the world. With three children, the nearby shops were great to have. The log burner in the front room was a real treat too.
