Approach this grand, spacious coastal retreat along a sweeping private drive, with jaw-dropping ocean views unfolding to your left.
Set in extensive grounds, Tregiffian Vean offers an authentic taste of Cornwall’s rugged beauty and is perfectly positioned for those who love the sea. Step into a large entrance hall, complete with a cosy seating area that opens onto a sheltered, walled courtyard, a suntrap ideal for alfresco dining and offering a good degree of privacy.
Inside, the house boasts four generous bedrooms, including a master double with French doors leading to the courtyard, a ground-floor twin, and two further bedrooms accessed via just three steps. The interiors are light-filled and spacious, with multiple living areas designed for relaxation.
A first-floor informal sitting room frames panoramic views of the garden and the Atlantic, while another welcoming lounge invites you to unwind after a day exploring.
The ground-floor dining room and a delightful conservatory, with windows on all sides, make the most of the spectacular scenery, an ideal spot for storm watching in winter or sunset drinks in summer. A well-equipped kitchen and two bathrooms, each with a bath and separate shower, complete the accommodation, ensuring comfort and convenience for families and groups. Outside, the magic continues: private access to Gwenver Beach, adjoining the iconic Sennen Cove, means the walk down is a joy in itself, with dramatic cliffside scenery and moments on the famous South West Coast Path just steps away.
Walkers heading towards Land's End will find the welcoming Land's End Coffee Bar & Roastery a perfect pit-stop for weary ramblers, sitting just a short stroll from the landmark itself. This stretch of coastline is a paradise for beach lovers and surfers alike.
The golden sands of Sennen Beach are nearby, where you can book a lesson with the award-winning Sennen Surfing Centre, located right on the shore.
After an invigorating session on the waves, treat yourself to a sauna at Bos Sauna, perched on the edge of the cove with sweeping Atlantic views, best followed by a refreshing sea dip. For relaxed beachside dining, the laid-back Sennen Surf Lodge offers a great spot to refuel with the sound of the surf in the background. Back at the house, practical touches make coastal living easy, including an outdoor tap, ideal for rinsing sandy wetsuits, muddy walking boots, or salty paws after a day out exploring. After a day on the waves or trails, head to the much-loved The Old Success Inn or the historic First and Last Inn, both within walking distance, for hearty food and a local pint.
A nearby village shop adds to the convenience. Pet-friendly and perfect year-round, Tregiffian Vean is more than a holiday home, it’s an experience.

We had a lovely week at Tregiffian Vean and the location of the house is unbeatable - the access to Gwnever beach is brilliant and much gentler than the usual cliff path down to the beach. As other reviews state, the house itself is a bit tired and needs updating, but this didn't really detract from the week we spent there.

We love Tregiffian and stayed here before. It is clean and well equipped . The conservatory was a little dusty and draughty due to windows that had no handles to close them. The only thing missing for us was something to sit on to enjoy the lovely courtyard. The picnic bench was inadequate for 5 adults and 4 children.

The house is large and spacious and is ideal for a large family but is in need of a touch up, with a little improvement it would be ideal. To put my remarks in context I would go again.
