Loch Awe and the surrounding area offer superb walking, boating and fishing (permit required) as well as cycling direct from your door.
The ruined Kilchurn Castle guards the north end of Loch Awe and the impressive Cruachan hydroelectric power station affords a trip inside a mountain.

This lovely semi-detached single storey cottage provides welcoming and comfortable accommodation for a couple or a family. The owners have furnished the property to a high standard with a warming wood burning stove in the sitting room for cosy evenings in. The cottage has a large sunny garden to the front and back of the property, and patio doors open out onto a decked area with stunning views out to the Loch. Boating, fishing (permit required), walking and cycling are all ideal pastimes in this superb holiday location. The historic Kilmartin village is within driving distance and the bustling towns of Lochgilphead and Oban are also nearby. Note : This property only accepts bookings for a minimum of 3 nights. The cottage was just what we were looking for. It is so quiet and the views are wonderful. We loved looking at the birds and were delighted to see a red squirrel. The cottage was well equipped and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. Our welcome was great and the cottage was warm and cosy.

Ian and Elspeth provided a warm and welcoming cottage for our self catering stay (all appliances etc. you could need). loved the treats and bottled water for those not used to the peat colored and earthy smelling water.

A beautiful location for those who want to get off the beaten track. Very peaceful. The cottage was really comfortable with everything you could need and the landlady was super helpful and friendly.
