The cottage offers very comfortable, well-equipped accommodation in a superb location for discovering this beautiful region and visitors will receive a very warm welcome from the owners who live next dorr.

Thornlea is a modern detached bungalow situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire market town of Richmond. With two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a family bathroom, this cottage is able to sleep four people. It also contains a modern, fitted kitchen and sitting room with a dining area and French windows. Outside the cottage is a garden with a patio and furniture as well as off road parking. Thornlea is in an excellent location for a group of friends or a family, looking to explore all that Richmond and North Yorkshire have to offer. We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The accommodation was comfortable and the hosts fabulous. We walked everyday from the door along the river, along the Coast to Coast route and others. What we did do was always call in at Edwina’s Cakes for scrumptious treats to take back to the cottage.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thornlea. It proved to be one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. The owners were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They provided milk, lovely biscuits and a delicious bottle of wine for our arrival. The weather behaved itself impeccably too!

Sadly we had to leave after 2 days but this is one of the loveliest properties we have ever stayed in.
It’s so warm and comfortable and set in a beautiful location with wonderful views over the Dales and not far from Richmond shops.
Pat and Ron are wonderful hosts and most welcoming, we plan to return again as soon as we are able.
