This Victorian, Grade II listed ticket office has been imaginatively converted and has retained many of its original features. The sitting, kitchen and dining area are all on open plan, and the compact, well-equipped kitchen and farmhouse style dining area are cleverly screened by the spiral staircase from the warm and inviting sitting room with its original ticket office cast iron fireplace and tiles. Winding through this delightfully quirky property, the spiral stairs go up to the eaves where the cosy and intimate cabin style bedroom awaits, and the bathroom is also housed in this space. The lawned area to the front of the property may be enjoyed by the guests. Small outside seating area under the arches complete with table and chairs. Note: One dog welcome.

We stayed for a week last year and loved the property and location so much we booked 2 weeks for this year and had a great time and it was our dog Archies 1st holiday and he enjoyed it too and we highly recommend this property as right next to cinder path with nice walks and lovely friendly pub right opposite

Cute cottage ,very comfortable ,clean well equipment The spiral staircase is beautiful ( but not good for all people mobility wise) , location is excellent especially if you love the Trains , 20 min walk to Whitby along the river esk , good pub /food across the road .We had a fab stay .

Such a sweet little holiday let. The owners have taken great care in making it a pretty place to stay & in keeping. With us stopping 8 days we did find it hard not having a washing machine but managed. On arrival we struggled to find the parking space as the pink gravel is mainly grass. So did the new arrivals for next door. This area just needs weeding & more gravel.
