Reiver's Rest is a quality cottage in the grounds of Hesleyside Hall, near Bellingham in Northumberland. The cottage has a bedroom which can be offered as a super king-size double or a twin, a double room and a twin room. There is a family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Downstairs, there is a well equipped kitchen with breakfast area, and a sitting room with open fire and large dining area. Outside, there is a private front patio, and access to the estates grounds including woodland walks. Fishing and tours of the hall can be offered by prior arrangement with the owners. Absolutely lovely cottage in gorgeous surroundings. Have been here twice now and we love it. Lots of lovely little touches in the cottage to make your holiday special, and the grounds are beautiful to walk through. The dark skies are amazing at night, as well as listening to the owls. It's a really special place.

Had a fabulous week at Reiver's Rest, loved everything about it. It is a very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We wanted somewhere quiet with no fireworks, for my terrified dog, so it was perfect. Had beautiful walks on the estate, and also in Bellingham and around Keilder. Liked it so much, we have already booked for next year.

A truly bucolic retreat amidst a well managed woodland and landscape. Very peaceful, but only a few minutes to the quaint town of Bellingham. We would have given it 5 stars but for one of the sofas being rather uncomfortable and the feeling that this beautiful house would benefit from a little tlc.
