Stone Mouse Cottage is a single-storey, detached cottage on a working farm in the Ribble Valley hamlet of Harrop, three miles from Bolton-by-Bowland. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms - a super king-size double (zip/link - can be twin on request) and a king-size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC. There is also a main bathroom with bath, basin and WC. The open plan living area comprises a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside, off road parking is available for two cars, while there is also a front lawned garden with furniture. With wonderful walking on offer in the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland, Stone Mouse Cottage makes a great base for a romantic break in the Dales.

Stone Mouse Cottage is perfect in every way. The location is superb - so quiet, with far reaching views, and an ideal spot for all the amazing walks in the Ribble Valley. The accommodation itself is so welcoming, comfortable, really well equipped and a pleasure to come back to each day. We were reluctant to leave and will definitely come back!

Our second stay here. The cottage is in perfect order, clean and with everything you could want. Nice and warm. The patio and the garden would be pleasant in good weather, but not for our January visit. Janet and Danny make you feel welcome without being intrusive. We wanted a week away, and didn't intend to do much, so this was just right.

This place is everything we hope a holiday property will be, but very rarely is. Attention to detail is outstanding, and the house is spotlessly maintained. Location feels much more remote than it actually is, if that makes sense. Perfect for a few days away from it all.
