Cairns Cottage is a delightful semi-detached cottage located alongside the harbour in the town of Whitby, North Yorkshire Moors and coast. With two bedrooms, including one king-size double and one twin with an additional pull-out stacker bed, this cottage can sleep five people. The rest of the cottage includes a bathroom, a cloakroom, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room. Outside there is roadside parking availableon a first come, first served basis, and an enclosed courtyard garden. Cairns Cottage is ideally-situated to enjoy all of the delights of this fantastic seaside town, and the surrounding beauty of the North York Moors National Park.
Note: This property is accessed by several steps down, or 40 steps up. Please note: the changeover day for short breaks is a Friday or a Monday; all longer bookings must fall between a Friday and Friday and must be a minimum of 7 nights in summer.

Great location, handy for town. Has a lot of steps to reach property and also lots inside the property. Nice, warm property, plenty of hot water. Quiet. Some small things needing sorted, repaired/replaced due to constant use. Toilet seat on top floor is loose. Carpet grips were jagging feet on the stairs, wearing slippers would probably solve this. Decor was good. Great stay.

It should be pointed out that the 'cottage' is actually over four floors, if I had known I would not have booked it as we're all in our 70's and the four flights of stairs plus 30+ to reach the property was difficult to do more than twice a day. The property itself was well maintained and very clean, we did enjoy our stay but just would have liked less stairs and steps for our poor old knees!
